Re Tailed Hawk – Buteo jamaicensis

Lori and I were out exploring while Sam slept during our most recent trip to see the Navy daughter. We found our way to a local park and came upon several fun bird species. One of the highlights of the trip was meeting a falconeer with her red-tailed hawk, Sophie. I am counting this bird because she is a wild bird and will be releases again. Sophie really wasn’t having much to do with her handler either. Beautiful and bird and an amazing experience.
