According to Google, there are 10,000 species of birds in the world.  I am a novice birder but I am quite enthusiastic.  I set a goal to try to capture 1000 birds with my camera. This represents about one tenth of the world’s birds. This might take a while but I’m going to give it a try. My rules for this challenge are the follow:

• I take the picture,
• The picture is taken of a bird in the wild.

Some of the pictures are birds I have already photographed. I estimate that the first 30 to 40 birds will be pictures I have already taken.
