Black-bellied Plover – Pluvialis squatarola

These are HORRIBLE pictures but the shot is true and clearly identifies the species. We were at BBH (short for Bombay Hook) and Lori spotted these birds. There was a pair enjoying the mud and low tide feast. It was a beautiful day with low humidity, a wonderful breeze and most of the park closed for bow hunt (ugh!).

I have not been keeping this list as current as I should. Cornell, hail all hail, Cornell’s bird ID is down and I want to cross check my ID’s. As it is, I think I have mis-ided my merlin.
