Caspian Tern – DE

Aug, 12, 2015Posted in Bombay Hook, Delaware, Least Concern, Migratory, Pea Patch Island

IMG_3133 Caspian Tern – Hydroprogne caspia

These birds were patrolling Shearness Lake at Bombay Hook. I also saw one as we waited for ferry to Pea Patch Island.

IIMG_3180 caught one diving to catch a fish. That was pretty cool. These are the largest of the terns.
