Osprey – Pandion haliaetus

We saw this bird on Pea Patch Island. It was hard to see because we were trapped on a little tram. We could not walk to the fort – probably because the osprey nest.

I am pretty surprised that they are so wildly spread across the world. They live pretty much anywhere there is water. I saw one in Yellowstone when we visited a couple of summers ago. I think I have a picture of it. I will need to look around for it.

Can you tell that I am pretty over writing all of these little blurbs. Writing 30 of these at one time is a bit tough. I think at first it easy but it’s getting harder and harder. I just have a few more before I can start writing the pictures as I take them.
