Snow Goose – Chen caerulescens

We were coming back from the beach and we stopped at a lookout platform. I spied this bird from a distance. Hunting season started last week so all of the birds are a bit on edge.

Since the first solitary bird, I have seen thousands at Bombay. Beautiful birds. I saw one in the flock with a yellow band around it’s neck. After some research, I discovered that it is for observers to be able to quickly id the individual for data collection.
