Ring-billed Gull – Larus delawarensis

We see them everywhere. These were in downtown Wilmington in 2013. I had never thought about them having a a proper name. To me they were just gulls. Since they have a specific name, like “ring-bill,” there must be more.

I’m heading down to Rehobeth tomorrow to see if I can catch any more. I know there are laughing gulls. Maybe I’ll see some tomorrow.
